bio

I am an emerging filmmaker from São Paulo, with a degree in Film and TV, specialised in screenwriting, directing and cinematography.

My short films have been screened at First Frames, in the Dublin International Film Festival (DIFF). I have received support from the CNC, the Goethe-Institut, and the EU’s Culture Moves Europe for the work I do as a founder and arthouse cinema exhibitor at Solax Film Club (since 2020), a pop-up cinema in Dublin/Ireland.

In 2023, I received the Agility Award by the Arts Council of Ireland to develop a film project. Since 2022, I’ve been filming my first feature-length documentary, Veredas, set in the Atlantic Rainforest in Brazil. Through Veredas, I’ve been selected for the Bolivia Lab 2024 and the residency at Acampa Doc 2025 (Panama). I’m currently looking for funding and co-productions.

Returning to my grandmother’s homeland, I found a vanishing forest and a fragmented legacy. Memories in conflict, nature in peril, and the lingering question of what remains when both identity and landscape begin to fade.

A BYOB pop-up cinema event in Dublin, monthly showcasing arthouse cinema curated by Ingrid Machado. With a brief intro to the film, followed by the screening and a 40min post-film discussion with the audience. Solax popped-up in different venues around the city. In 2024, in collaboration with the International Confederation of Arthouse Cinema (CICAE/ Paris and Berlin), Ingrid hosted the European Arthouse Cinema Day (EACD) in the Brazilian Cinematheque in São Paulo, first time of the event in Brasil.

We’ve had more than 750 patrons accross several venues around Dublin.

I first became aware of the Solax Film Club through seeing all their stickers dotted around Dublin’s city centre — a warm blast of sunburst orange popping out from the town’s endless veil of grey. While I’ve encountered film clubs in the past, they were typically affiliated with a cinema. Solax is a truly independent film club, fizzing with an old-school DIY spirit and a healthy smattering of punk rock grit. The work they do is not only impressive, it’s inspiring.

They’re not based in one location, but rather roam around the city’s cultural venues like heroic outlaws on the run,..
